ATLANTA – The Jacksonville Jaguars won their first Super Bowl in franchise history on Sunday, defeating the Green Bay Packers 27-24 in overtime at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 31 of 42 passes for 342 yards and two touchdowns, earning Super Bowl MVP honors. Lawrence also rushed for 38 yards, including a critical 12-yard scramble on third down during the overtime period.
Running back Travis Etienne Jr. carried 24 times for 89 yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. caught seven passes for 118 yards and a touchdown, while tight end Evan Engram added six receptions for 78 yards.
The Jaguars outgained the Packers 405 to 331 in total yards and converted 9 of 16 third-down attempts. Jacksonville held the ball for 36 minutes and 18 seconds.
